Maxpedition 2009 Lineup to Appear at SHOTShow 2009

[Updated 1-10-2009: Fixed spelling, changed formatting for items that will eventually get llinks]

Maxpedition's 2009 product catalog is coming out, just as SHOTShow 2009 gets set to start.  I've gotten info on some of the new product in the catalog, and will be presenting it over the next several days.

First off, and probably of most interest to techies/EDCers, is Maxpedition's entry into the "pocket organizer" category, the E.D.C. Pocket Organizer (it's not up on their site as I type this, but I've got a few shots below).  It's 5" x 7" x 3/4", sized to fit in a standard pants cargo pocket.  It opens fully, has dual straps, and the usual set of elastic pen/pencil holders.  Unlike most organizers of this ilk (many of them apparently copies of the organizer from Spec-Ops Brand), both sides of this organizer have the pen holders, and those pen holders are in turn mounted on larger elastic retention straps (for holding knives, multitools, etc.).  Behind these straps are slip pockets on each side.  In addition, one side has a key clip and the other a small tie down loop.  It's a somewhat different take on the pocket organizer concept.  It'll be available in black, green, khaki, and foliage for $21.99, and in digital foliage camo for $22.99.

Maxpedition is also releasing a series of lower-cost, simpler duffle bags (the "Load-Out Duffel Bag" series) in three different sizes, with similar features:

"-Sewn-in adjustable shoulder strap for superior strength with shoulder pad
-Bartacked and reinforced main handles with oversized handle wrap
-Bartacked and reinforced drag handles on both ends

-Covered heavy duty main zipper with dual lockable slides
-Two 1 [inch] top compression straps with quick release buckles"

The bags are being released in black and khaki-foliage.

The smallest is the Baron: 22" long x 10" wide x 9" high, approx. 1500 cubic inches, a front zippered 7" x  5" slip pocket with a keey ring, a 3" x 5" "loop field" for patches, and PALS webbing (3 rows, 6 channels) on the back face.  The Baron is the one of the three that meets FAA carry-on sizes limits, and will be sold for $68.99.

The middle-sized bag is the Imperial:  28" x 13" x 12", about 3500 cubic inches, 10" x 6" slip pocket, 4" x 6" loop field, and PALS webbing (3 rows, 8 channels).  It is priced at $83.99

The largest bag is the Sovereign: 32" x 15" x 14", approximately 5000 cubic inches, 12.5" x 7" slip pocket, 4" x 6" loop field, and PALS (3 rows, 10 channels).  It'll be going for $99.99.

That's it for tonight--hopefully be more later.  If I see these in person, I'll try to get more detailed shots (nope, won't be at SHOTShow--would've been able to if travel budgets hadn't been cut at my day job, killing my trip to Orlando... in January... drat the luck!)
